The San Francisco Bay Area Advanced Practice Center serves as a nationwide resource by developing and sharing tools and materials that advance public health preparedness. Our tools focus specifically on infectious disease emergency preparedness and response capabilities. We promote innovative and practical solutions that enhance the ability of all local health departments to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health infectious disease emergencies.

The San Francisco Bay Area Advanced Practice Center represents a partnership between the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the UC Berkeley Center for Infectious Diseases and Emergency Readiness. This program is funded by the National Association of County and City Health Officials in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
