Training Materials

Local health departments may use the Toolkit training materials to train staff on their own infectious disease emergency response plans. All of the training materials are modifiable and provide recommendations for making them health department-specific.

Staff Training Presentation

• The Staff Training Presentation is a modifiable PowerPoint document that briefly reviews Incident Command System principles, plan activation criteria, Plan functions, and responder requirements.
• The Staff Training Presentation Facilitator Guide accompanies the Staff Training Presentation and provides a quick-reference presentation outline, including training time recommendations and a slide-by-slide script for the Staff Training Presentation.

Tabletop Exercise

• The Tabletop Exercise is a modifiable PowerPoint presentation that involves a 48-hour unknown gastrointestinal disease outbreak that allows staff to practice using your health department's infectious disease emergency response plan.
